Cindy for Model Number WFW8300SW05 I noticed when I am done washing and spin the drum to make sure there is no clothes left in, that there is a swishing sound. I had been used to stuffing the machine and was told it would clean better if I didn't do that, so I started to do more loads with less clothes at once. After the washing is completed there is water left under the drum. I checked the drain plug and was basically pretty clean. There was about 3 cups of water left in the machine. When the pump was running it felt hot. I am not sure if that is normal or not. It was warm to the touch. It worked enough to go through all the cycles and complete the washing, but there is some reason it isn't emptying that last little bit under the drum. Prior to this I had gotten a F21 error a couple times. Long Drain. taking longer then 8 seconds to drain. So the tech sheet said it could be either the drain pump or the pressure sw. So should I change out both?
Answer Cindy, It is normal for there to be a little water left in the outer tub when the unit is done washing. The inner tub will also have a solution in it which will cause the swishing noise as well. You will want to check to make sure that the drain pump is not clogged. and if the error keeps occurring then the issue will most likely be a drain pump issue. Read More...
