Frank for Model Number LER4634EQ1 I replaced the rear drum seal. How critical is the placement of the seal? There's a bit of a gap. If I could do it again, I'd probably move the seal an additional eighth inch off the drum. As it is, I lined up the interior green stitching with the drum edge. Around most of the drum, there's no gap. However, in the upper right, beside the exhaust vent, there's a built-in depression in the "wall ring" the drum seal spins around and the gap there is noticable. Seems like a design feature to release moisture, not sure. Is the placement of the seal that sensitive? By the way, I've ensured the seal is not folded and is properly seated. Also, the drum in properly installed on the rollers. Thank you.
Answer Frank, You will want to make sure that there is no gap as this can allow items to get wedged in between and then it will also allow heat to escape and cause excess lint in the cabinet of the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 16, 2024
