Scott for Model Number AED4675YQ1 The electric dryer is making a loud banging noise. I have replaced the drum belt which didn't correct the problem. I notice when I put the front panel back on with the new belt the drum was moving from back to front of the dryer which appeared to be causing the noise. Two questions: 1) Is this normal if not, what parts would correct this. 2) Could there be something else that is causing the banging noise?
Answer Scott, There might be a drum roller that is not seated correctly on the drum. I would pull the front back off and repeat the steps to put the front panel back paying attention to the rollers and the rear of the drum is sitting on top of them. Read More...
