Jeff for Model Number JDS9860AAP I had an F9 code on my oven, and the element is heating very slowly/weak (not red). Also is making a humming/whining sound. Replaced the door lock as the code said, but still having the problem. It also says something about replacing the relay, but the relay board looks different in your picture, so not sure that's the right part. Mine about 3" wide x 6" long. The pictured one looks square. Any suggestions?
Answer Hello Jeff. You will need to check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the range. Also test the thermostat WP71001844 and make sure it is good. If all of this is good, then you will need to replace the relay board 12001694. This is the correct board according to your model number. Hope this helps. Read More...
