Reggie for Model Number GT2SHMXMS04 - Part W10920279 I recently replaced the capacitor on my Whirlpool fridge and am trying to replace the run-start part # W10920279 but cannot find it on the compressor.. Question is where exactly is this part located?
Answer Reggie, The overload and start relay are located inside the plastic cover on the side of the compressor W10309988. Make sure you remove power to the refrigerator, you may need a small flat blade screwdriver to remove the retaining clip that holds the cover to the compressor. You may find it easier to remove the assemblies from the compressor pins, then switch the wires, one at a time from the original to the replacement part, then re install the new components.
