Diyfixer for Model Number 106.56986600 My Refrigerator started knocking upon startup. I had a repair main come out and of course it would not do it. $109 for him to tell me, if it is cooling probably your options are. Options, 1) buy a new compressor. for the price would not be worth it for a 10 year old fridge. 2) Buy a new fridge. Why if it is still cooling? 3) Live with it. Which is what I have been doing. Then I got to thinking. It does not sound like something out of balance on the compressor. It actually sounds like it is cutting on and off real fast and then I hear a final click and it runs just as smooth as always. So my question is. Could this be a bad start relay? Is there any other part that could play a part in this symptom, like a capacitor, overload, etc? What would you recommend to start with?
Answer Hello Diyfixer, you may want to replace the compressor's start relay W10920279 and overload WP2154697 first. If you want the capacitor it is WP4387764. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, August 21, 2020
