Chad for Model Number RAX7245KQ0 Does the dampening ring have anything to do with the spin cycle? My washer will go through all of the washing process, but stops at the spin cycle, leaving the clothes and all the water inside. After draining, I noticed the dampening ring seemed frayed, and actually broke off. Is this my problem with the spin cycle, or do I need a another part? Thanks!!!
Answer Hello Chad. No, the dampening ring WP63134 will not prevent the unit from spinning. You will need to check the lid switch 3949247V and see if it is broke or bad. If so, it will prevent the unit from spinning and draining the water. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
