Elaine Is there a way to know if the upper spray arm seal is bad. I've seen that people often need to replace this part, but I can't really tell if there is a problem with mine. The pics online aren't close up enough to compare them with my seal. The upper arm isn't spinning. I don't know if it is getting enough water, but can see it is getting some, because it is dripping out when I open the door to check if it has spun.
Answer Elaine, Normally if a dishwasher is getting water to the upper spray arm but it is not turning it would have to do with the water pressure getting to the spray arm. Check to make sure that the unit fills with enough water and check inside the pump and tubing to make sure that there is nothing clogging them which would lower water pressure as it pumps.
