Akn for Model Number Kenmore 106.51133210 My ice bin auger turns freely in both directions when no ice is present, but as soon as ice is in the bin it can't turn. It just thumps repeatedly. Does this sound like a weak motor, or is there something else I should check before replacing the motor?
Answer Akn, You will want to check the ice container shaft under the ice bin. Check to make sure that the coupler is not frozen too low on the shaft and if so then pull it out and clean all the moisture off and reinstall and check to see if that corrects the issue.
