M for Model Number kscs25fvms01 Hi, in my case the motor is turning and the motor drive shaft is turning, but it doesn't turn the ice bucket shaft - looks like the connection between the two has gotten rusted (although from looks it seems ok) . I feel I should get these 3 parts : i) auger motor drive shaft (listed here) ii) drive shaft seal (https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-shaft-assy-motor-wp2188917-ap6006077.html ) - mine looks ok enough but just to be safe iii) ice bucket coupling (https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-coupling-socket-wp2188918-ap6006078.html) - to make sure gears on both side are new. What's confusing is that your site also has parts like https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-coupling-bottom-crusher-wp2220458-ap6006687.html for this model, although mine looks different - I'm wondering if I'm missing a piece or something ? I posted a video of my issue to show more info - https://youtu.be/Z6zapzlLlbg Thanks again !
Answer M, Before replacing any parts, you will want to remove the shaft from the door and see if the coupler is just frozen to the shaft and causing it to not make contact. You can run under hot water then let completely dry to correct the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 27, 2020
