Charles for Model Number wfw9150ww01 My washer started started making a loud banging noise when it was spinning fast. After taking a look inside I see that the drum is able to move around quit a bit in the washer, the bearings are fine though. The noise I was hearing is the drum slamming into the front of the washer. I noticed that the model only comes with 3 shocks, which is most likely the reason for failure. The side that has a single shock seems to be weak. Is it fine to install two shocks on this side so this doesn't happen again in another two years?
Answer Charles, Your unit should have 4 shocks on it. There would be 2 in the front and 2 in the rear. If yours only has 3 then you would want to make sure that the 4th is put on. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, May 28, 2013
