Emma for Model Number LSQ9544KQ0 2 questions, please 1) In this video, the gentleman is able to just lift out the top part of the agitator, while in the video for replacing the agitator dogs alone (part # AP3119063) he takes out the entire agitator and has to stand on the bottom section to separate it from the top. Is it realistic to think one can separate the two while the agitator is still in the machine? 2) In the description, it says that Whirpool recommends using a small amount of grease with this kit. How do you know if it is necessary to use it? I don't see any mention of grease in the description about the agitator dogs. Why would it not be necessary to use grease when just replacing the dogs? If grease is necessary, can one just use any silicone grease? Thanks
Answer Hello Emma. No, the agitator must be removed from the unit to replace the parts. As for the grease, it is not needed just for the dogs. Only with the cam kit. And you must use the manufacturer recommended grease WP542638. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, January 7, 2015
