Carl Coppel for Model Number MFD2560HES I have a Maytag French door Refrigerator and the Freezer door is stuck (Left Side). Right edge is not stuck. I left it off for one day just incase there was Ice on the door slider, this did not help. Is there any way to get the door without Prying with a crow bar?
Answer Carl, It sounds like you may have had a defrost drain problem that has leaked and frozen the door closed. Using a pry bar will certainly damage a lot of parts. Your only option is to unplug the unit, save all the food you can by moving the food to another location and let this thaw. Think about a block of ice in a good cooler and how long it would take to melt. We advise laying down towels also to not ruin any flooring.
