Stephen D. I need to replace a plastic door striker on a Maytag quiet series 300 dishwasher and I do not know the model number. I checked everywhere the site said to, but no luck. I believe I found the part I need, but I have a question. Do I need to slide the dishwasher out to replace the striker and is it replaced with a screw? Some of the strikers I saw can be replaced from the front. Thanks
Answer Stephen, Yes you will need to partially remove the dishwasher to access the door strike. It is mounted to the tub frame with a screw (probably a "torx" screw,) the strike part number WP99002644 should be the strike for the model number information you supplied. You'll need to move the dishwasher out about 3 to 4 inches. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 24, 2014
