Marc T. for Model Number LSN1000KQ0 My washer shakes badly during spin cycle, even if it is empty and has no water in it. The machine is level front to back and side to side, the rear legs are working properly, and all 4 springs are in place. There is no metal-on-metal grinding sound. Any thoughts? Tx
Answer Hello Marc, have you looked at the pads that mount to both the base and the suspension plate? There are three attached to each device. They are what give the machine a smooth gliding action when in spin. Also, you may want to make sure the inner basket hasn't become loose from the spin shaft. You can tell that by opening the lid and taking both hands and see if the inner basket has any independent movement from the entire tub mechanism. If it does, that would indicate the spanner nut that holds the tub tight to the spin shaft may have come loose. You would see that after removing the agitator assembly. It's also possible the spin bearing has worn badly, but that is usually accompanied with a growling or howling noise also. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, January 16, 2014
