Don December 04, 2017 for Model Number 11092380200 My Kenmore Series 80 washing machine 11092380200 is leaking down around the transmission and the leak may be a gasket #AP5983753 or the seals in #AP3020440 kit. Another symptom is in the beginning of the spin cycle with tub empty, the tub will jump to one side every few rotations. All the springs are attached and washing machine is level. Would this be an indication of worn suspension pads, or something else?
1 Answer Don, For this issue of the leak would most likely be the seals that are faulty and for the issue with the tub shifting then you would want to replace the suspension pads. Read More...
Paul December 26, 2016 for Model Number LSQ7030LQ0 Hi, I recently replaced the rear suspension spring as it was broken, afterwards the basket appeared to be sitting leaning back toward the rear of the washer. I then replaced the front springs and brackets. The basket still leans back. The machine is out of balance on spin cycle and now the agitator appears to not be working. Is this more than one problem? I don't hear any metal grinding during the wash cycle..
1 Answer Paul, For the agitator not working then this would likely be the agitator dogs that are bad. For the tub leaning, make sure that the spring is attached in the correct place and then you will want check the balance ring to make sure that it still has the solution in it. If not then replace the tub balance ring. Read More...
Fred July 05, 2016 for Model Number wtw5520sq0 I lost my question about replacing suspension pads on my clothes washer. I would like to try replaceing them one at a time by tilting the tub which would give me 1/4 to 3/8 inch to remove old pads and hopefuly inserting new pad into place one at a time. I am resubmiting my question. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Fred. You can try doing them that way. If your unsuccessful, then you can follow the instructions in the video on the parts page of the unit. Read More...
Gypsy May 14, 2014 for Model Number 11020722990 On a Kenmore washer model 11020722990, what are the 2 nail like pins that sit in plastic cups hung from the bottom of the base do? They are not long enough to hold the skate plate in position. I had a hard time getting the transmission shaft the last 3/4 of an inch to seat and knocked the skate plate out of position. What holds it in place? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Hello Gypsy. The pins are shipping pins and they are never used once the unit is installed into a home. As for the issue your having, if you raise the tub assembly, you can reposition the floater plate. Read More...
Marc T. January 05, 2014 for Model Number LSN1000KQ0 My washer shakes badly during spin cycle, even if it is empty and has no water in it. The machine is level front to back and side to side, the rear legs are working properly, and all 4 springs are in place. There is no metal-on-metal grinding sound. Any thoughts? Tx
1 Answer Hello Marc, have you looked at the pads that mount to both the base and the suspension plate? There are three attached to each device. They are what give the machine a smooth gliding action when in spin. Also, you may want to make sure the inner basket hasn't become loose from the spin shaft. You can tell that by opening the lid and taking both hands and see if the inner basket has any independent movement from the entire tub mechanism. If it does, that would indicate the spanner nut that holds the tub tight to the spin shaft may have come loose. You would see that after removing the agitator assembly. It's also possible the spin bearing has worn badly, but that is usually accompanied with a growling or howling noise also. Read More...
Eli January 05, 2012 for Model Number 11024422300 Even if ran empty my washer goes totally off balance during the spin cycle, the tub shakes violently, but it doesn't walk anywhere. Just a lot of really loud noise. I can feel it shaking in there pretty hard. I replaced all four springs with replacements from you guys but it didn't help at all. What's the problem here? I don't see how worn suspension pads can create the actual shaking, but can they?
1 Answer Hello Eli. Based on the information, you will need to check and see if the suspension spring WPW10250667 is broke and will need to be replaced. It is located on the back of the tub assembly and goes from the tub down to the bottom of the frame assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
1 Answer Harry, Suspension pads, don't normally produce a " clunking" noise in the spin cycle, but a loose, worn out drive block WP389140 or spin tube W10820043 can and will. You may want to check the motor drive coupling as well 285753A If it is damaged, it could create a noise similar to a clunking noise as well. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Michael D. November 08, 2011 for Model Number LSQ9200PQ4 The machine washes normally until it gets to the spin cycle. It seems to have no stabillity even if the machine is empty it runs out of ballance and shakes bad.
1 Answer Hello Michael. Look and see if the suspension spring WPW10250667 has come off or is broke. If so, it will cause the problem you are having with the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
