John for Model Number WTW6800WB1 I have a suspicion that I have a problem with my suspension, but I'm wondering if I can get away with lubricating the ball supports. The washer performs flawlessly in all cycles, but makes a loud banging noise when agitating, but not during the spin cycle, and I've never had any error codes. Are the rods/balls supposed to twist freely? Mine just wiggle a little, but don't really move much. The rods, springs, supports, everything looks in great condition, so I hate to replace them if it only needs a little lube (if so what type of lube would I use), or if the problem is not related to the suspension. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Answer John, You will want to check the rotor to make sure that the spline is not damaged which could cause this issue. If this checks ok then the most likely cause would be suspension rods that are bad. The rods are not supposed to rotate they stay in one position but allow movement of the tub. No lubrication is required. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, December 8, 2015
