Brian for Model Number WTW4800XQ4 I'm looking to replace the suspension rods in my whirlpool washer, but noticed that there is still some water between the tub walls. Will this all leak out when I tip the washer over to replace the rods or should it be ok? I tried running the "drain and spin" cycle to remove the water, but the tub is so out of balance that it didn't really work. Thank you.
Answer Brian, Yes, there is a potential for the water to leak out and the best way to get all the water out would be to get a shop vac, pull the drain hose from the standpipe and suck the water out through the drain hose. This should empty the water out of the rest of the drum. It may also sound like water in the unit when there is not as the balance ring will have a solution in it. Read More...
