Steven This suspension is an improved design from the original in my 5-year old Cabrio Washer. One of the improvements I see is that the suspension balls now ride on top of bushings instead of directlty on top of greased suspension ball cups. The replacement instructions say to remove all the old grease from the four suspension ball cups before installing the new suspension. My question is: Does any new grease need to be applied to either the ball cups or bushings when installing this new kit, or do the bushings alleviate the need for any grease? Thanks in advance.
Answer Hello Steven, No grease is required as the manufacturer says that the wear from the two plastic parts give the effect of a dry lubricant. Also, I tried lubricating the first one of these kits I installed and it produced out of balance loads, (too much movement of the tub assembly). Read More...
