Greg for Model Number LAT9205AAE I have the Maytag LAT9205AAE, it starts to spin and drain then it just stops. After a min or 2 it will start and then stop again what do I do now.
Answer Greg, You're pretty close to target, Check and make sure the lid and hinge balls aren't damaged or worn, etc. There should be very little to no movement in the lid when it is raised open half way or more. When you open the lid, if it is adjusted and operating properly, you should hear the switch "click" when the lid reaches 3/4 to 1 inch open, and the same "click" when the lid is lowered to the same 3/4 to 1 inch. You didn't mention any noises or delays to restart the washer, so it doesn't sound like a motor or voltage problem. Of course make sure there's nothing stuck near the top of the spin tub and tub cover, the washer is level or a "touch" higher in the front to keep from having off balanced loads. Read More...
