Kevin for Model Number GX900QPPS2 I have replaced the motor on this unit. Along with the drive gear. The unit will not stop when I push the start button. I have to turn it off when the grinding sound starts. This went on for about a week. Now I can't even do that . When I push the start button it just makes that horrible sound it was making at the bottom of the stroke of compactor. I have removed the Upper limit switch and the on/off/start switch. I am going to check the upper limit switch for continuity tomorrow at work, but can I test the on/off/start switch somehow? Seeing your other answers could it be the new motor is now burnt up as well?
Answer Kevin, To test the start switch you would just test it for continuity. If it checks ok then the limit switch would likely be the cause for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, December 26, 2017
