Michael for Model Number MFI2568AEQ Replacing the light switch...I managed to get the switch out. It did not want to come out. It broke in several pieces. My question is...The switch is out, the plug is not. It seems to be molded into the foam insulation. Do I cut the foam out of the way? Or what? The plug is in the foam very tight. Please help...
Answer Hello Michael. If you can install the switch without cutting the foam, then it is ok to do so. If not, and the plug for the light switch is stuck in the foam, you will need to remove the switch from the foam to install it onto the light switch W11396033. Only remove the foam around the switch and remove the switch from the unit. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 12, 2012
