Terri for Model Number WTW5560SQ My Whirlpool washer will fill and agitate...it pauses like it's supposed to, but then it buzzes and stops. It won't advance to the rinse cycle. If I wait 15 minutes or so, sometimes I can manually turn it to rinse and it will drain and spin to complete the cycle.
Answer Terri, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a sticking contact in the timer. After the agitation the unit would go into the drain, if the contact is stuck it will send power to both sides of the winding of the motor and will cause the motor to buzz and click off. By moving the timer it would allow the contact to free up and operate but sounds like a new timer is needed. The part number for the timer is WP8577356. Read More...
