The Dispenser Motor and Switch Assembly is an OEM component for Whirlpool washing machines. It operates the detergent and softener dispensers during the wash cycle. Causes of a bad dispenser motor and switch assembly can include electrical failures, wear and tear from regular use, or damage from water exposure. These factors can cause the motor to burn out or the switch to malfunction, disrupting the dispensing process.

Symptoms of a bad Dispenser Motor and Switch Assembly include:

  • Detergent or fabric softener not dispensing
  • Unusual noises from the dispenser area
  • Washer displaying error codes related to the dispenser
  • Inconsistent or incomplete wash cycles

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Coe for Model Number MHWZ600TE00

Hello, I am concerned about my Tray dispenser. I do have water coming in on the back side filling up my tub but the water will not come through and over into my tray. I will have a little bit of liquid detergent still on the bottom of the tray. I do believe my Bleach bin will fill because I use that and my laundry will smell of bleach. Not sure of the fabric softer bin for i don't use this bin. I am looking at the switch Dis part number AP4365357. Will this sole my problem. Thanks

Answer

Coe, You will want to check the actuator on the dispenser to make sure that the actuator is moving when the unit is calling for detergent or bleach. Also check the ports in the dispenser to make sure that the ports are not clogged. The part number for the actuator is WPW10143586.
