Laura for Model Number LE5700XSN0 I bought the thermal kit because the cut off was open and I broke the thermostat. I know how to put them back in now but I don't know where to put the wires. There is H1 and H2 which is the heating element but I don't know which is left and right. The thermostat wires say HS3 and Ht3/HS1 The HS3 wire connects to the H1 wire and the HT3/HS1 wire goes somewhere else in the dryer. Which one goes top and bottom on the thermostat?
Answer Laura, When installing this kit there will be a red wire that connected to the original thermal fuse that you will reconnect to it. Then there was a wire that jumped from the thermal fuse to the hi limit thermostat. Reconnect that wire. Then you will want to then take the jumper wire in the kit and jump it to one side of the heater element.
