Ann for Model Number REX 4634 KQ1 Because my dryer was not longer heating and only blowing cold air on all heating cycles, I replaced the heating element but not the thermal fuse, cycling thermostat nor the Hi Limit thermostat. The dryer still does not heat. I am not able to test any of these items so to avoid spending money unnecessarily, what part would you recommend trying to replace first to see if that part is the problem and then go from there? Are there other parts that could prevent the drying from heating that I did not mention. I have cleaned the vents, etc.Its a Roper made by Whirlpool eletric dryer. Thanks
Answer Hello Ann, I would recommend purchasing a meter and testing the parts. Guessing on which part is it, could lead to a simple voltage issue and really no parts being needed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
