James for Model Number GEW9250PW0 I recenly replaced the heating element. The dryer is heating up, but it takes 2 or 3 drying cycles for the clothes to dry. I have checked and cleaned the vent, it has good air flow, could a sensor, or thermostat be bad?
Answer Hello James, As long as the duct is short and straight as possible and there is no harness issue between the thermistor and the main control, there are only two possibilities in this instance. The thermistor WP8577274 is electrically stressed and sending incorrect information to the control board OR the control board WP8546219 has an issue causing it to misinterpret the information sent to it by the thermistor.
