Penny for Model Number Maytag Bravos MEDB400VQ0 I have determined that the heating element is damaged on my Maytag Bravos electric dryer and I would like to know if i should replace the thermal fuse too. The heating element has a broken ceramic holder and the wire is also broke. The dryer was blowing air and tumbling just no heat. Is there anything else I should look at replacing before reassembling? Thanks
Answer Hello Penny. If the thermal fuse is good, there is no need to replace it. If it is bad, you will need to replace the thermal fuse. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
