Pilot Jeff for Model Number Duet Moisture sensor doesn't seem to work. Dryer drys clothes but then continues to run at 22 min mark. Sensor always reads damp never starts with sensing. What should be replaced? The two sensor bars or is it a circuit board.
Answer Hello Pilot Jeff. Wet you finger and lay it across the bars. They should read closed for continuity. When you remove your finger, they should read open. If the bars are working correctly, you will need to check and make sure the wires are connected properly and the wires are not melted together and touching. If the wires are good, you will need to replace the control board WP8546219. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, July 1, 2011
