Ricard R for Model Number Sears, 11076912692 Dryer doesn't turn on after running for a while. It starts and runs and dries, then stops. Won't restart until after it cools down for 1/2 hr or so. Have recently taken off the bottom front panel and vacuumed the collected dust. It ran ok. When this problem starts the interior light comes on when the door is opened. The light will go out when I manually press the door interlock switch. Is there some sort of an overtemp switch in the circuit. Where would that switch be. What is the switch measuring.
Answer Ricard, It sounds likely that the motor on the unit is overheating in which you will want to check the rollers and idler pulley to make sure that they are not seizing up which would cause this but also the lint build up could have caused it as well.
