Jarhead for Model Number WED5900SW0 What does the thermistor do? And is 12K at room temperature close enough to the 10K you mentioned earlier? I'm trying to find the cause of the thermal fuse blowing.
Answer Hello Jarhead. The thermister read temperature. If it is showing 12K, the temperature of the room should be around 72-75°. The thermister is testing ok. Test the temperature of the dryer when running and see if it cycles on and off. It should go from 110° to 155°. If it goes above 170°, the high limit may be bad WP3404153. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
