Lane I. for Model Number kenmore elite oasis 110.67042600 My dryer only works correctly on the timed dry cycle. The auto drying never counts down to 0. I replaced the thermistor first then asked a question like this and replacing the moisture sensors inside the tub were recommended. Our dryer still hangs on countdown at random numbers and never stops running. What else could it be? Thank you
Answer Hello Lane, The only thing that can make the unit advance in timed dry and not advance in the auto dry cycles is the exhaust duct. If the duct is crimped or clogged, the unit will continue to sense the same moisture since it cannot get it out of the dryer and will run forever. To test the theory, dis-connect the duct from the back of the unit and you will see the timer advance within 5 minutes. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 29, 2013
