Fred for Model Number wed9270xw1 The metal plate in the back of the dryer drum is getting very hot (190-210F). It also has a funny smell. I've disconnected the vent hose and airflow seems to be good. I've tested the themister and it has a resistance of 13.6k ohms at room temp and it varies down as it gets hotter. I've also verified the thermostat has 0 resistance when it's at room temp and the coils cycle on and off as it's running. Any idea what the trouble could be?
