Nick for Model Number WED8300SW1 I have replaced the thermal fuse 3 times now in my dryer and every time it keeps tripping. The first two within a month and the third one after two months. We started running it on low heat the third time around. On normal heat the clothes would get pretty hot so I'm trying to determine what might be the issue. Thermostat, control board, etc.? Any guidance would be appreciated!
Answer Nick, When the thermal fuse is blowing continuously, the issue will come down to air flow. You will want to check the blower wheel to make sure that there is nothing like fabric sheets caught in the wheel. If this checks ok then you will want to check the venting to the outside of the home which would be the most likely cause for the thermal fuse to keep blowing. Read More...
