Joe W for Model Number MEDX600XW0 After drying a load of clothes I emptied the dryer and put another load in and it would not start. Control panel is lit as normal, when start switch is pressed a click is heard but no motor start. I checked the fuse, and all temp overloads for continuity and all checked ok. Thermistor is reading 9.9k ohms at 72 degrees F. Any suggestions?
Answer Joe, You will want to test the door switch on the unit and if the door switch is good. If the switch is good then you will want to check to see if the motor is getting power to it. If there is 120 vac getting to the motor when the start button is pushed in thent he motor would be the issue and if there is not power then the issue will be the control board. Read More...
