Robert M. for Model Number GEW9250PL1 What happens to the Dryer when the Dryer Thermister goes bad? In other words, what does the dryer do or stops doing when the Dryer Thermister goes bad? I bought my Dyer used and when I plugged it in there was no hot air. I did a Continuity test on the Thermisted and it failed so I suspect that it's bad. Plese advice, thank you. RMD
Answer Hello Robert. The thermister WP8577274 reads the temperature inside the dryer and cycles the element. It should not read closed for continuity, but should show resistance. It should read around 10k at room temperature. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
