Linda E. for Model Number WED9200SQ1 When we put the dryer on a normal 40 minute cycle after it had run for 23 minutes we checked the clothes they were dry and hot to the touch. The timer still had 17 minutes left on the readout. Why did the dryer not shut off? What could cause it to still keep drying the clothes when it should be sensing the clothes are dry?
Answer Hello Linda, When the unit is placed on a timed dry cycle it does not use the sensor bars so it will run until the time is up. This is normal operation. If the unit dies this on an automatic cycle you will need to use a cotton cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol to clean the residue from them that is accumulated from the use of softener sheets. You should also use the rubbing alcohol on the lint screen so it can pass moisture instead of repelling it. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 19, 2019
