James for Model Number Whirlpool GEW9250PW1 Whirlpool Duet Dryer will not heat. The dryer runs, but only cold air blows. The dryer is NOT set on air fluff; it is set on high heat on a normal cycle. I cleaned the dryer completely of lint from top to bottom inside and out. I replaced: the Thermal cutoff (both came as a set): Part Number: 279973 Dryer thermal fuse: Part Number: 3392519 Dryer still blows cold air I cannot see any visible burns or breaks in the Dryer heating element, but have not physically pulled it out yet. Could this be the issue? Reading the posts from other members, it does not seem like it is a thermister issue, because my ohmeter reads 12.08 at room temperature. Any ideas? James
Answer Hello James. The heater should read closed for continuity. If it is good, then you will test for power from the relay on the board to the heater. If there is none, replace the control board WP8546219. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
