Mark for Model Number PYE2300AYW My dryer says version 1 after the model. The cycling thermostat is closed across the large spades and open across the small ones. Will this cause the dryer to act as it there is no power? There is power inside the unit. Tested the 53-1182 fuse and it has continuity across the terminals. There is also 220 across the motor terminals but mot running or heating. Can not find any other thermostat up by the electric coils. have kit LA-1053 but can not find where the little one goes.
Answer Hello Mark. No, you will need to order and replace the thermostat kit LA-1053 on the unit if it is dead. It sounds like the thermal fuse is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
