Hello Joe. No, it will not keep the dryer from running. However, the thermal fuse WP3392519 will prevent the dryer from running. You will need to test it and see if it is blown. It should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
