Ronette for Model Number MBF1958DEM00 my ice maker is making bit of ice but also is dripping water, therefore, there are cubes and then water dripping which freezes and makes a big block of ice. It is also very slow on making ice. Temp is set at 4 which is recommended. Does it need new thermostat? any suggestions?
Answer Ronette, it would be recommended that the ice maker W10884390 is checked to identify if the water leak is coming from the water inlet tube leaking water or if it is from the ice maker itself. If it is from the ice maker, the cubes are not able to freeze at a proper size due to the leak and it will take multiple harvests to create a large enough cube for the rake arms to bail the cubes out into the ice bucket.
