Robert F for Model Number 106-55544400 I am trying to replace the icemaker thermostat on my Kenmore refrigerator. I have watched the video repeatedly and cannot figure out how to assemble the cap with the thermostat in it to the ice maker itself. My icemaker has a pair of pins coming out of a round, black fixture. I can't find a place for those pins to go. Can you help me?
Answer Robert F, The thermostat can be removed by removing the control box from the ice maker mold. Remove the two Phillips screws from the control box and then pull the housing free from the mold. The thermostat can then be removed. Press in the new thermostat making sure the pins are indexed as they were removed. Be sure to use new thermal bonding material such as Alumilastic Cement WP4317852. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, February 2, 2024
