Susan for Model Number 106 8566882 I am having problems with the refrigerator side.Refrigerator side seem to be no air coming out of vent in refrigerator at the top inside of refrigerator.It is turn up on 5 the high seting for being cold.The temp of refrigerator is 47 to 50 degree inside.The frozen side is 0 to 5 degree.We have check the timer defrost out with the ohm meter and no frost is on back panel.Could the problem be a bad cold control in refrigerator.Part number AP3103397 cold control.Air flow control part.Location in front of the defrost timer in refrigerator.
Answer Hello Susan. Check and see if there is any frost on the back wall of the freezer. If so, It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer.
