  • Common symptoms: refrigerator running constantly, not cooling, or temperature cycling irregularly.
  • Interfaces with the fridge control housing and wiring to open/close the cooling circuit as needed.
What's included: One cold control thermostat. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair.
  • Access the control housing/panel to remove the old control; note wire locations or take a photo for correct reinstallation.
  • Handle any attached sensor or capillary tube gently to avoid kinks or damage.
  • After installation, restore power and the refrigerator reaches and holds the desired temperature.

William, Several suggestions, first check the air difuser in the top left side wall of the refrigerator compartment, make sure it's not stuck open, and operates properly, check and make sure there are no articles hanging over the front or sides of the shelves or laying against the walls, this can interrupt or redirect the air flow and "trap" the air in the lower area of the compartment. Also check the air return tubes and vents on the left wall of the refrigerator, Check the air control setting to the meat drawer (if equipped) too much air to the crisper/meat drawer pan will cause things to freeze as well.

Hello Susan. Check and see if there is any frost on the back wall of the freezer. If so, It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
