R. A. for Model Number CLY1610BDB The 3 burners work fine. The oven pilot will not light. Pushed the oven knob in for over a minute. After a while the oven burner did light because the thermocouple was hot enough, but the pilot still did not light. Checked the pilot gas line and it is clear. And oh yes, the oven and coach is 5 years old and this is the first time my wife wanted to use the oven. What could be the issue?
Answer Hi R.A. If the top burners flame is a strong blue with slight or no yellow tips then the gas pressure regulator must be fine. I would first see if the burner and the burner orifice ports are not clogged with debris not allowing proper gas flow. Check all of this with the gas safety valve off. If you still are not to instantly light the oven pilot then replace the complete thermostat part # WP7515P046-60. Make sure that while replacing the capillary sensor tubing that you completely straighten it out and curve it as you need to bend it. make sure to re stuff all cavity holes with insulation from a local hardware store so the inner heat don't escape the cavity and burn external wires.
