Brenda for Model Number NNS228GA I bought the relay/overload start device combo and I have a question...There are only 2 visible places on this new start device to attach the wires that are coming from my fridge. Which ones do I use? From the fridge, I have 1 black (or dk blue)wire, and then another clip/connector with a combo of a white and 2 black (or dk blue)wires going to the old relay. The old relay plugged onto 2(bottom) of the 3 posts of the compressor. The top post of the compressor has a black wire connected that goes to the overload. There is also an orange wire going to a connector on the overload and a dk blue wire going to a separate connector on the overload. which ones go where?
Answer Hello Brenda, You will have to trace wires back to the condenser fan motor. The hot wire coming off the condenser fan motor, either blue or orange will go to the L1 on the new relay. The white wire from the condenser fan will go to the N on the new relay. The other wires will be eliminated from the circuit at this point. Read More...
