Mai L. for Model Number 110.42822201 Last weekend, I noticed that the washer sounded like a jackhammer during the spin cycle and had trouble draining. Snooped around today and found a junk - tiny plastic pieces - in the filter. Also noticed that the front end of the basket has dropped about an inch and the front outer tub was all chewed up. Ran a light load with front and top covers off. I heard a lot of rubbing and I could confirm that the noise was coming from the basket flopping around. I know I have to replace the front outer tub. Questions are 1. If the bearing is in the back, am I better off changing both front and back outers? 2. Do you think the basket needs to be replaced also? Thank you.
Answer Hello Mai. Yes, based on the information you provided, you will need to replace the front tub W10772612 and the rear tub W10772617. The inner basket should be fine, unless it got damaged as well. You will need to remove it and inspect the basket. You will need to remove the entire tub assembly from the cabinet to replace the parts. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, October 21, 2011
