Roger for Model Number GHW91OOLW1 My front tub assembly is chewed up but the inner tub spins fine,is it possible for the outer tub to wear out and not have a bearing problem on the rear tub bearing? Is there a way of checking the bearing? And also it looks like it takes a special tool to install the clamps that hold the front and rear tubs together do you sell that tool and if not where can I get one? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Answer Hello Roger. You can remove the back access panel and see if the bearing has been leaking, or if it has play in it. If so, the tub assembly will need to be replaced. The clapms pull off and push on. You can use channel lock pliers to remove them and a small hammer to tap the down onto the tub. Be careful not to crack the tub. They do not make a special tool to install these. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 13, 2011
