Joseph for Model Number MHZ2005620 Hello, My friend has this dryer and the hot air stopped so when she called me I told her most likely its a bad Element but you need to check it first. I don't think she checked it but instead bought a new one and had her brother help her put it on. She called me and said it worked for a little while(one load I think) then it stopped working again.(no hot air) Doesn't the thermostat cycling switch work with the element? so if one goes bad can the other? I know if I was closer I would be there testing both?? thank you..
Answer Joseph, Yes the cycling thermostat does work in conjunction with the heater element. It is possible for both the element and thermostat to fail, but rare. It's more likely the thermal fuse on the heater has failed due to a heating situation, or possible damaged element or wire when they were replacing the part. Read More...
