Roger for Model Number Kenmore 665.17032403 The Arm-Spray AP3777639 on my Kenmore dishwasher is clogged and I want to replace it. But I also notice that when the upper rack is pushed back and the water manifold nozzle is engaged in the water feed tube, that the upper spray arm rubs the spray arm manifold a little at the water feed tube end. If I use my thumb and forefinger to push the arm-spray upwards against the wash arm mount (AP3081228), and then rotate the spray arm, it clears the spray arm manifold fine. What I would like to know is whether the slight rubbing and “sloppiness” in the connection between the spray arm and the wash arm mount is normal or is the ? inch or so play in the connection an indication that the wash arm mount is worn and needs to be replaced. The upper spray arm seal appears to be intact, so I do not think that is a contributing factor in the sloppiness of the connection. (Or does water pressure elevate the upper spray arm so that it clears the manifold?)
Answer Roger, There will be a little play in the spray arm but an inch seems to be a bit much. It sounds like the mount may be worn. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 3, 2016
